FiMC Accelerator
The national Food is Medicine Coalition offers an accelerator program for non-profit organizations that are developing medically tailored meals programs. Training covers operational strategies for scaling programs and policy / advocacy work in the food as medicine space, plus connections to national contracting. The training lasts for 12 months.
This is an accelerator for relatively advanced programs that must:
Be a nonprofit organization with the capacity to dedicate to an intensive 12-month training program requiring travel to Boston and New York (pending safety in travel)
Have experience with food safety and commercial food production
Have access to a licensed commercial kitchen
Have an RDN on staff or be willing to hire one
Demonstrate a commitment to providing medically tailored home-delivered meals to individuals coping with illness (guidelines defining this are here)
Contribute a participation fee of $20,000 per organization
