FiMC Accelerator

The national Food is Medicine Coalition offers an accelerator program for non-profit organizations that are developing medically tailored meals programs. Training covers operational strategies for scaling programs and policy / advocacy work in the food as medicine space, plus connections to national contracting. The training lasts for 12 months.

This is an accelerator for relatively advanced programs that must:

  • Be a nonprofit organization with the capacity to dedicate to an intensive 12-month training program requiring travel to Boston and New York (pending safety in travel)

  • Have experience with food safety and commercial food production

  • Have access to a licensed commercial kitchen

  • Have an RDN on staff or be willing to hire one

  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing medically tailored home-delivered meals to individuals coping with illness (guidelines defining this are here)

  • Contribute a participation fee of $20,000 per organization

Applications are due on February 26th. Here is the link to apply. Find out more about the Food is Medicine Coalition on their website.
