Health Care and Food Programs: Legal Considerations

October 12th, 12:00 - 1:15pm

This webinar will introduce key considerations for complying with HIPAA and inducements rules when implementing food access programs at health care practices. It is intended for a health care practice audience (a future webinar will introduce HIPAA for a community partner audience). Our presenters will be joining us from the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation (CHLPI) which offers many resources for integrating food in health care, including a guide for Foodbanks navigating HIPAA and a recent set of publications focused on scaling Produce Prescriptions. They are founding members of the Massachusetts Food is Medicine coalition.
