University of Vermont Extension is hiring an EFNEP Coordinator. The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is a federally funded program at land-grant universities in all 50 states. The goal is to use a community-based, hands-on educational approach to positively influence nutrition and physical activity. There is a particular emphasis on helping parents and children with limited resources enjoy a healthy diet and stay active. EFNEP Coordinator

University of Vermont Extension is seeking applicants to run a statewide food and nutrition education program. This federally funded program helps families living in or near poverty to acquire knowledge and skills that can support healthy outcomes. Required skills for the coordinator include supervision, collaboration, training, program evaluation, needs assessment, data management, report preparation, and well-developed organizational skills. Desirable skills include grant writing, fundraising, community outreach and work with food insecure and/or limited resource populations. Office location is flexible with option to work remotely. Regular travel in Vermont is required. A Masters’ degree in nutrition, dietetics, public health or related field is required.
